The current design has been fashioned to be more user friendly and easier to navigate. The previous flash version has been changed to a PHP version. Users are encouraged to browse the website and check out new features. A feedback option has been provided for submission of any compliments, concerns or questions to developers. One of the key features of the updated SpinUtopia website is a DJ Battle platform. This is a fun and friendly competition designed to help artists gain exposure and increase visibility. Users registered as DJs or producers now have the option to see how their mixes compare to others. Another user on the website can be sent a battle request through his or her profile page. Once approved, the battle begins. Both artists and audio are placed side by side on a separate page, where users can rank and vote for their favorite mix. DJ Battle winners receive 10 points at the end of each competition. Users with the highest number of points are placed on the homepage, which has thousands of views daily.
